The "junior band" was formed in 2000 when the "senior band" took delivery of a new set of instruments, which were part funded by the National Lottery. The Band operates two classes in the bandhall:
- one class for beginners & one for more advanced learners
Despite the name, the 'junior band' is essentially a training / feeder band and learners of all ages are welcome.

Rehearsals: MONDAY's in Bandhall
Beginners: 6.00pm til 7.00pm
This class is aimed at people learning a brass instrument for the first time & first time attendees.
Advanced: 7.15pm til 8.30pm
This class is aimed at people that are advanced enough in their playing to require a bit more challenging music - Solo & Ensemble work!
