Dalkeith & Monktonhall Brass Band was founded in 1989 by the amalgamation of Dalkeith Burgh Silver Band and Monktonhall Colliery Silver Band following the closures of both pits.

Brass or Percussion players, whether experienced or learners, are all welcome. You'll find our friendly, but hard working band challenging. We have a busy concert & contest schedule and are an integral part of the East Lothian & Midlothian communities.

Keep a look-out for us as we may be playing in a venue near you!

Rehearsals:     TUESDAY   &    THURSDAY

                          7.30pm   until    9.30pm


The Band also has many opportunities for volunteers to help with the running of the band - fundraising / music library between rehearsals etc.  If interested please contact the Band Secretary (Heather Henderson).
